RENOVATION 2017 Westmere

This large site on Garnet Rd, Westmere was home to an original 1950's brick and tile dwelling which was in desperate need of a renovation. Our response with our clients blessing was to create a bold presence to the rear of the site while respecting the traditional form of the original home to the street. Working with traditional materials and a clean colour palette the extension to the rear is bold as it sits elevated overlooking the rear garden. The offset ridge line draws you down the centre of the site and the north facing outdoor living flows from the large open plan internal living spaces. Completed on a modest budget, the before and after for this project look like twice the budget has been spent.
